Buchanan House is located in a quiet, safe residential area of Highland Park. The group home has been successfully operating since January of 1989, offering permanent housing, along with a program of semi-supervised living.

Buchanan House is designed to serve six residents in single bedrooms, with shared common spaces. There are numerous amenities nearby, which include shopping, eating places and transportation lines.

An experienced, qualified part-time residential manager is responsible for routine maintenance, chores, and assisting residents with locating community resources to meet individual program needs. Residents are required to attend group house meetings one time each week.

Residents pay 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent, and low cost utilities are shared.
