HFLF Palms Court is a new
construction, HUD-811
one-bedroom apartment
complex in Los Angeles near
the intersection of
Washington and Overland.
HFLF Palms Court opened on
October 1, 1999, providing
19 formerly homeless
individuals with permanent
housing. These apartments
are fully furnished,
featuring one bedroom,
living/dining area, a full
kitchen and bath. The
building has a secured
entry, visitor’s lounge,
community/activity room,
laundry, elevator, central
courtyard, landscaped lawn
area and secured parking.
Residents pay 30% of their
adjusted gross income for
rent. Tenants are
responsible for their own
phone and utilities.
A part-time residential
manager is responsible for
routine maintenance.
Qualified part-time case
managers meet with clients
at HFLF Palms Court and
assist residents with
locating community resources
to meet individual program
needs.
HFLF Palms Court was awarded
the Southern California
Association of Non-Profit
Housing (SCANPH) Project of
the Year Award for 2000. |
