THE MENTAL REHAB PROGRAM

HFLF Mental Health Rehab Services include the following:

Mental Health

The main objective of these services is to provide ongoing therapeutic support for adults with mental disabilities.

Individual and Group Therapy

These sessions are of a supportive and problem solving nature. They focus on reducing symptoms and functional impairments, through interpersonal feedback and reality testing.

Skills Development

Clients participate in a structured, focused and practical training program, in the acquisition and rehearsal of a variety of social skills. The program model is psychoeducational. Areas of skill acquisition include:

  • Medication and symptom management

  • Basic conversation

  • Social program solving

  • Use of leisure time

  • Community Involvement

Rehabilitation

Clients receive assistance in restoring or maintaining daily living and job seeking skills, including, but not limited to:

  • Independent living skills

  • Meal preparation skills

  • Money management/Consumer awareness

  • Vocational training

  • Job seeking skills

Case Management

Staff provide case management and service coordination duties in an effort to meet clients’ needs for services, which include:

  • Linkage and consultation services
